Here you have it, another Tinder success story. Patrick and Makenzie officially met in person on July 21, 2019 hiking Baker Mountain followed by Stewart’s coffee milkshakes. They both felt an immediate connection to one another and knew they just found something really special.
On August 17, 2019, Patrick asked Makenzie to be his girlfriend after her parents introduced him to everyone as her boyfriend the whole day. They dated long distance from Rochester, NY to Middlebury, VT which was a 5.5 hour drive. It did not take them long to realize that spending weekends together was not enough as every "see you later" became more difficult.
About 10 months later Makenzie made the move to Middlebury, VT. The couple enjoyed spending time paddleboarding on Lake Dunmore, hiking the TAM trail, riding their scooters ("motorcycles" according to Patrick) on all the Vermont backroads, camping, going to Fire and Ice and simply creating a life together.
Patrick proposed three years from the day they met at the Crown Point Bridge, and yes, they even had milkshakes. Pat and Makenzie have formed such a strong love for each other that has been supported by their family, friends, and their bunny babies (Harvey and Quinn). They are excited for you to join them on their wedding day, June 8, 2024. Their one important request is to make sure you bring your dancing shoes.
