Brian and Malarie's first date was at a Starbucks in Sayville on April 23, 2016. They were both so nervous for the date, and the Starbucks was crowded, so they walked around town to get to know each other better. After hours of walking and a good time together, they decided to get a bite to eat and continue their date. They both didn't want the date to end so after food they continued on their journey around Sayville, to the point that Malarie's feet got blisters from the amount of walking they did. They talked about everything from Brian's job, to home life, school, etc. Soon after, they had numerous dates, mostly at random Starbucks locations that was closest to where they both were to could sneak in little dates between their work and life schedules. They both to this day still enjoy their little Starbucks dates together

On April 1st, 2018 Brian decided to take the plunge and got down on 1 knee in front of Malarie's Nonna, sister, niece and their dog Gigi to ask her hand in marriage. It was Easter and Malarie's family was all together for the holiday, and Brian wanted to make the day special. With a few family members knowing about the life change about to happen, Brian decided to wait until the timing was right while Malarie's sister Kaitlyn stood off to the side to record the whole thing on video while Malarie's Nonna and niece looked on in shock of what was occurring in front of them. A special day that both Malarie and Brian remember so fondly in their hearts.
