We met on January 15th 2012. It was Malcolm's first day at Prudential Center and he was nervous. When he walked into the kitchen to meet the staff, Erika was the third person he met. Instantly he knew that she was different than anyone he'd ever met in his life. He went to shake her hand but froze. Erika told him her name and being so nervous he couldn't remember his name.

On the fourteenth of February, Malcolm Dickson proposed to Erika Dabney. He had to come up with something special for Valentines day. He told his chef that he wanted to propose to her and showed her the ring. They instantly came up with a plan for the proposal. The original plan was to propose over the jumbo tron, but because of stadium events it was agreed that it was not a good idea. The back up plan was to have Erika leave the kitchen for a certain amount of time. Within 25 to 30 minutes the staff set up a romantic scenery for his proposal. The lights were dim and they had her walk into the kitchen. The tables were decorated with several cakes and hand written icings. When Erika walked into the dark lit kitchen, everyone told her that the power was out. That is when, Malcolm walked Erika to the same place they met in January of 2012. He then asked her to make him the happiest man in the world.
