It all started online, and after a couple of canceled dates, the third time was the charm. When we finally met, it felt like everything just clicked. From that very moment, we both knew this was something special.
Through the ups and downs of life, we've faced every obstacle head-on and come out stronger together. Our bond is unshakable, no matter what life throws our way.
A shared love for F1 brings us together. Every Sunday you can find us watching the race, though Tom was a bit shy to admit his loyalty to McLaren until they became a top team! Sunday is for F1, not football (although others and Tom may disagree).
Our backgrounds are strikingly similar and different, but those shared experiences have helped us understand each other on a deeper level. We’ve found strength and joy in each other’s company, and even in tough times, we always know how to find the light. Whether it’s dancing around the kitchen, sometimes with music, sometimes without, or just laughing through the chaos, we’ve learned that a little joy goes a long way.
One of our favorite memories is walking back to Maleah’s apartment in Boston. What we were doing that night, we couldn't tell you. What we can tell you is that it started to rain, and what could have been just another wet walk home turned into a moment we will never forget, laughing, joking, dancing in the rain, and ending it with the kind of romantic movie kiss Maleah had always dreamed of.
And of course, there’s the inside joke that still makes us smile: when Tom tried to impress Maleah early on by speaking Spanish—only for her to quickly realize he was using Google Translate. It may not have been fluent, but it worked, and he definitely caught her attention.
Tom came into Maleah’s life just as she was ready to give up on the dating world. But from the moment we met, everything changed and we’ve never looked back since. Quickly it became clear we couldn't see our lives without each other and wanted to spend forever together.
