We met in middle school through friends, and remained friends throughout middle school and high school. In the spring of junior year, we started dating after being prom dates. Even though we were only in high school, both of us were surprised by how fun and effortless it was to be together and knew this relationship was something special.

We went our own ways in college but found our way back to each other during junior year of college. After Malia returned from studying abroad, we started dating again – and have been ever since! Over the past 7 years, we’ve had plenty of adventures: overcoming long distance in college, graduating college, traveling to Europe together twice, living in our first apartment, getting our puppy Maple, living in California for 5 months, buying our first house, becoming aunt and uncle, and enjoying life’s simple moments every day.

We’ve both grown and changed a lot since we started dating 11 years ago, but we talk about how we have grown together rather than apart. We’re excited to continue growing together – forever!
