Where is the best location in Maui to stay in?

The ceremony and reception will be held in Wailea. There are a variety of hotels, resorts, condos and houses. Lahaina is also a great option (hotels, condos, houses). Downtown Lahaina (front street) is still impacted from the fires and is closed to visitors. Lahaina is also centrally located to any excursions you may want to do.

What should we do for transportation?

The easiest thing to do is rent a car. We recommend renting a vehicle at the airport (as opposed to car rentals outside of the airport). It is easier and not much of an additional cost (if any). Some of the hotels offer shuttle services (ask the front desk for the shuttle schedule ahead of time). They also have Lyft and taxis.

How far away are Wailea and Lahaina from the airport?

About 45 minutes.

Are there any activities (other than the beach) we should check out?

YES. 1. Road to Hana. This is a beautiful, unique, worthwhile experience. This is also a harder drive, look up details in advance. Contact Malia for any questions! 2. Mount Haleakala. This is a national park you can hike, or has an area you can drive to and view one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever seen. 3. Snorkeling. There are fantastic snorkeling locations, happy to share our favorite spots! 4. Boats. Our favorite company to use is Sail Trilogy, they offer fantastic service and great food. There are a variety of tours you can do: snorkeling on Lanai, snorkeling near Molokini crater, dinner cruise, etc. There are plenty of other companies and locations to use also. 5. Hiking. The only trails I’ve hiked are on Road to Hana, they are beautiful and easy. 6. Zip Lining. You can zip line through the trees/jungle area, super fun!
