Wedding Day Photos

This is the story of a Persian girl who travelled over 7,000 miles in pursuit of a Doctoral degree. After graduating and in the midst of a global pandemic, she met a San Franciscan boy and they fell in love. Our first date was supposed to be just a short one hour walk through the Presidio in San Francisco. Struggling to maintain six feet distance, behind our masks we both saw something special in the other. And while talking about our lives, interests and families, this one hour walk lasted over five hours. Our courtship continued and our relationship blossomed over the last few years in locations spanning both ends of the U.S. We've hiked and biked numerous paths in Northern California, exploring the coast from Mendocino to Carmel. We walked seemingly the entire length of New York from the Statue of Liberty through Central Park. And we spent a magical week on the big island of Hawaii, traversing the depths of the ocean in a submarine and dining on the rim of a volcano. In April of 2022, Shepherd knew that Mali was "the one." After a dinner date, he orchestrated a short walk to our special spot by the wave organ in the Marina. After distracting her with the view of the full moon and lights of the City, she turned back to see him down on one knee...and the rest is history. We are looking forward to the next chapter of our love story and starting it off by celebrating with all of you.

To get to the General's Residence, enter from the UPPER Fort Mason Entrance at the intersection of Bay and Franklin Streets.&nbsp;Once inside the main gate, turn right at the first stop sign&nbsp;onto MacArthur Avenue.&nbsp;Then turn left into the first driveway.&nbsp;&nbsp;Guests can be dropped off at the front door to the General's&nbsp;Residence, but the driveway loop must remain clear of parked cars.&nbsp; Free parking is available&nbsp;after 3:00pm in any of the spots along MacArthur Avenue, as well as any of the areas marked with a red "P" on the map linked above , including the big lot in the southwest corner, a short 5 minute walk from the venue (2 hour parking enforcement ends at 5:00pm).&nbsp;Please do not park in the residential areas north of MacArthur. Please, if you plan on drinking, utilize rideshares, taxis, and public transportation.&nbsp;Above all else, we want our guests to have a good time, safely!

The celebration continues... Please join us in Golden Gate Park the day after the wedding. We'd love to see your entire family and children, too! Lunch will be provided.
