Many of you know ( but probably not all) Ben and I rode bicycles on our very first date. It was a beautiful day in April of 2021 and we meet at a local spot in Ferndale to get a drink and check out the vibes.....cause yes we met online. Thanks Hinge ;)

To say I had butterflies when I saw him walking up wouldn't do that feeling justice. Somehow my body was telling me something so much more. We had a ton in common and we got along really easily right from the start. So, we continued on with our date after the first spot and hopped on our bikes and rode to another local favorite spot to keep the conversation going. Did I mention Ben and I have been living within less than 4 miles from eachother and going to the same places for many many years, yet we never crossed paths or had met in person before this special day.

Fast forward past what was the BEST first date of my life! Ben and I actually did not speak for many months after a short time after this first date. Time moved on and I was out on a Saturday night in November 2021 when I unexpectedly heard from Ben after assuming that connection was done and I would never hear from him again.

We made plans to meet up and I was going to attend his basketball game he was coaching for the school he worked at during that time. WELP, I tested positive for covid the day before so we had to make other plans. Ben lovingly then decided to bring me a get well package of things I could use as a sickie stuck at home and quite honestly risk his health to see me and show me that he wanted me back in his life. It was EMOTIONAL, especially because we could not hug. That was it, we were never apart for more than a few days after that.

Our mutual LOVE of all things outdoorsy, ugly things that we think are beautiful, bicycles, any and all fur babies, being surrounded by water, and every other normal and odd thing about us is what has brought us together. Regardless of how different we grew up or the color of our skin Ben and I are truly each others BEST FRIEND.

We are so excited for our future together and looking forward to celebrating with all of you!
