Andre and Mallory somewhat knew of each other all through college at UL, had all the same friends, and went to the same parties. They were likely in the same room with each other hundreds of times but did not officially meet until March 2019, weeks before Mallory moved to Augusta, GA for OT school. They really started to become friends at a Christmas Party in 2019 and this is when their friendship and eventual relationship began.

Mallory went back to OT school in Georgia after Christmas, but they kept in touch long distance. Then COVID restrictions started, which forced Mal to move home and convert to online graduate school. Despite the challenge of this abrupt change, the opportunity to really grow their relationship was the silver lining of this stressful and uncertain time. They dated long distance for most of the first 1.5 years, as Mal moved all over the east coast for clinical rotations to finish her Master’s degree. Meanwhile, André lived in Lafayette and bought his first home in December 2020. André visited Mal in every single city she lived in over her time in graduate school.

After graduation in May 2021, Mal moved to Lafayette and, for the first time in their relationship, they finally lived in the same city. They were able to form daily routines involving each other and their lives began to blend together. In January 2023, they adopted the most perfect golden doodle puppy, Beignet. He is the most playful and floofy boy ever and they spoil him to pieces.

All in all, Andre and Mal make each other laugh, support each other and can never get enough of each other’s company. Their favorite things to do together are play with Beignet, spend time with friends and family, play golf, and travel. They have traveled internationally to Paris, France and Puerto Rico together and have gone on countless weekend trips in just about every state in the south.

Supporting and celebrating their friends and family are a big priority for them and by the time they are married, they will have attended over 20 weddings together! They are so excited to celebrate this next milestone of getting married and officially start their life together. They are so appreciative to each one of you for the role you have played in their lives and they can not wait for you to join in on the celebrations during our wedding season.

Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Andre Vincent!
