It all started on the golf course. Mallory and Mike met biefly on the driving range before the girls went their way and the guys went the other. It wasn't actaully until October before they had their first date.

Mallory and Mike started chatting on Instagram and Mike let her know he was coming up with some friends for the football game that weekend. They exchanged numbers and decided to meet up later that night after the game. Now Mallory had every intention to go out that night but after a very long day working the football game she graciously asked Mike if she could postpone. He was completely understanding and said "another time".

This "another time" was the following week when they had their first date. They met at Forward Brewing. Mallory was of course early, as she always is. Mike was walking up to Forward when he spotted Mallory through the window chatting with some people from her neighborhood. He needed a few more minutes before going inside. After that moment of stepping inside Forward Brewing, there was no looking back.

They were instantly attached. They loved spending time with eachother. Mike was a champ with making the trek from Quantico to spend time together but it helped that Mallory always had a home cooked meal for him! Mike was living on cereal and sandwiches so the way to his heart was definitely through cooking :)

Over the next couple months their affection and happiness turned into love. They began meeting one another's family, friends and co-workers. They started to make a life together. They began talking about the future and with Mike's pending move for the Marines, their relationship was the most important piece of their lives.

Fast forward to the big day when Mike came to Pittsburgh for the 4th of July weekend. He is not one for being able to keep secrets, especially from Mallory. The moment he got the ring from Mallory's sister, Dianna, he knew he couldn't wait another minute to ask the big question. He asked Mallory to go take a walk with him (not the big question). They went over to the river bank and more nervous then he had ever been in his life, Mike got down on one knee and asked Mallory to marry him. They cried and laughed and Mallory got a little sweaty but of course she said yes! Dianna popped out from behind one of the cottages and got to capture the most special moment for them. And now they are engaged!!!!
