John and I first met through our mutual friends Ronnie and Daley back in 2021 right after I graduated high school. We were a year apart at the same high school, but our paths never crossed. Regardless of what John may try and tell you, I made the first move by so bravely adding him on Snapchat first and striking up a conversation. While that conversation may have been the driest thing ever, we kept talking, started dating, and the rest is history. We have truly experienced the gift of God’s timing and what he has in store for us by obeying his word. Over the course of the next few years, John finished his schooling and academy training and started his career with Fresno Fire. I graduated from Fresno State and am currently completing the credential program to become an elementary school teacher. These were busy, exciting, and challenging times for us, but we supported each other the whole way through and grew closer during this time. While I knew he was proposing soon, I didn’t know exactly when. I am the nosiest person on Earth, so I definitely thought I’d know before he did it. However, he pulled off the surprise of a lifetime and proposed on April 12, 2025. I was surprised beyond words. That day was filled with celebration and so much love from all of our family and friends. It will forever be one of our favorite days and now we cannot wait for June 6, 2026!!!!
