Mallory and Jeff first met in Athens, OH while both attending Ohio University (OU OH YEAH!) . Over the course of their college careers they hung out within same circle of friends and saw each other often. However, they never dated...

Fast forward 8 years after graduation (2019), Mallory and Jeff crossed paths at a mutual friends wedding in Chautauqua, NY. They found themselves talking and dancing with each other the entire evening. Mallory was impressed with Jeffs dance moves (especially during the Talking Heads!), while Jeff couldn't take his eyes off Mallory in her blue dress.

At the time, Mallory was living in Cleveland while Jeff was living in Dayton. Being 3 hours apart, they began to talk regularly and after several weeks, Mallory invited Jeff to Cleveland. This was the beginning of driving back and forth to each others home towns.

For Valentines Day 2020, Jeff took Mallory to Washington D.C. Here they decided Mallory would move to Dayton. They lived downtown until the Summer of 2022, and then purchased a home together in Kettering.

Jeff proposed to Mallory in their home on March 20, 2023. She was traveling home from Houston, TX from her sisters baby shower. Jeff lined their front hallway with over a hundred balloons and waited on one knee with their dog, Stewart, for her to walk through the front door. As she opened the door in complete shock, Jeff said "Welcome home, I hope forever! Will you marry me?"
