We met while Ryan was visiting family in Chadron. We started talking and instantly clicked. We went on our first date to The Ridge a couple of weeks later. When Ryan left for a minute to say “Hi” to a friend, one of my best friends, Kaylee Osier, checked in with me to see how the date was going. I said, “I am going to marry this man.” Ryan and I both agree that we knew immediately that we had found our person.

We did long distance for the summer of 2023 between Chadron and North Platte. At the end of the summer, Ryan decided to move to Chadron so we didn’t have to make weekend trips anymore.

On December 2, 2023, Ryan proposed while we were on a weekend trip to Deadwood, SD. We were walking down Main Street, enjoying the day and checking out different shops and casinos. We decided to go into the Bullock Hotel because the slot machines had treated us well there the night before. I sat down to play and went through $20 quickly. I turned around to ask Ryan for more cash and he was on one knee with a ring in his hand.

I guess you can say the rest is history!
