Do I need a visa to travel to the UK?

IMPORTANT: anyone traveling from the US who is not a citizen or a resident of the UK must apply for an ETA (electronic travel authorization) to enter the UK. You can do so online at this link. It takes 2-3 business days for the approval to come back, but we highly recommend doing so sooner rather than later so you don't have to worry about it!

When should I arrive to the Kingshouse Hotel if I'm traveling from abroad?

We recommend booking accommodation at or near the hotel for Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th.

What is the dress code for the welcome drinks?

Dressy / casual

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Formal wedding (or black-tie optional) attire. Weather permitting, our wedding ceremony will be outside (approximately 30 mins). As the weather in Scotland can be unpredictable, we advise having a coat/jacket to keep warm. The remainder of the day will be indoors!

Can I arrive to the hotel by train/public transit or do I need a rental car?

We highly recommend renting a car/driving to the hotel. While there is public transit, the closest train station is a 40 minute drive from the hotel.

Where are the welcome drinks being held?

At the hotel bar adjacent to the lobby of the Kingshouse Hotel. While we are unable to reserve this space, we will be here for the evening to welcome everyone as guests begin to arrive for the weekend.

You can also contact the Kingshouse Hotel to book dinner on the Friday evening. As the hotel is in a pretty remote location (30-40 mins away from the nearest town), we recommend doing so unless you want to venture into Glencoe or Fort William.
