From Mallory: Mark and I met as our backgrounds and talents collided when I accepted a position at Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc. (BPMI) in June of 2011. Mark was a mechanical engineer, while I started as a Procurement Specialist. One day I decided to attend the BPMI pickup soccer game after work for fun. When it was time to pick teams, the first co-worker to jump on the opportunity to join my team was a boy named Mark. He also coincidentally came out of the game every time I did for a water break. As soon as we sat next to each other, there was an instant connection. I was intrigued by Mark and the many commonalities we shared. I went home that night and told my mom that I met a cute boy named Mark. The rest is history. From Mark:BPMI (the place where so many people have met and gone on to get married) was also our meeting place. I spotted Mallory early on and knew I needed to introduce myself. What I didn't know was that the place we would actually come to meet would not be in the halls of BPMI, but at a pick-up soccer game in Monroeville Park. I had no clue she played soccer, and came to find out she was quite good... I assisted on her first goal that day and it was all good from then on. Mallory came out of the game every time I did, so I knew right away she was interested. After setting up a night out in the Southside, the rest, as they say, is history.

How We Met

After 5 years of dating, Mark planned a trip to Delray Beach, Florida in March 2016. Growing up, Delray Beach was the annual vacation Mallory and her family would take together. On Thursday, March 24th, we decided to take an early morning walk on the beach. During this walk on the beach Mark pulled a ring out of his swim trunks, got down on one knee, and asked Mallory to marry him. After her immediate responses including, "Shut up!", "Are you serious?", and "Is that real?", Mallory said YES!!!!

Noah's Event Venue is in Cranberry Township, PA.The reception at Noah's Event Venue is going to have various food stations that feature our favorite eats, in lieu of a plated dinner. A station-style reception is one where the food is spread out among different "stations" throughout the reception space. There will be a wide variety of dishes with an interactive element.

Attire

Suggested Formal Attire for Him: A formal dark suit and tie. Suggested Formal Attire for Her: A long dress, a dressy suit, or a formal cocktail-length dress.

As my brother, John has been a friend from the start.  While we certainty have had our brotherly moments (the squirt-gun to his brand new SpongeBob Henna tattoo was a low point for us...), we've always been close and continue to hang out at Penn State games, in Pittsburgh, and most weekends at our parents.  I'm looking forward to having him by my side at the alter.

Lina is my one and only niece (soon to be Mark's one and only niece as well), but she is so much more than that. She is my Godchild, best friend, baby doll, and soul mate, to name a few. Her birth gave me the honored title of "Aunt" and that changed my life forever.  We are honored she said yes to being our flowergirl. We love you, Lina, with all of our heart.

Lauren is my one and only sister and best friend.  She is very close to me and has been a major influence my entire life. I have always looked up to her and wouldn't be the same person I am today without her. She is the strongest and most intelligent woman I know, in addition to being a wonderful mother, wife, and business woman.Thank you for saying yes to being my Matron of Honor, and everything that comes along with it! 

Lauren Setter (Sister)

I met Matt (call him Lazar) our Sophomore year at Penn State.  Chris Connell and him were randomly paired with RJ Littley and I.  It couldn't have worked out better.  From the 1,000 games of Jeopardy (RJ and I dominated Chris and him consistently) to the many trips to Margate, Lazar has been a great friend through the years.

I also met Ben my Sophomore year at Penn State.  Long story short, I was kind enough to give him half of my RU Hungry sandwich one night and we've been friends ever since.  Through the years, we've played many rounds of golf, been to many parties, and I continue to train him in Ping Pong to some day be half as good as me.  He's done well...

Anna has been my best friend since we were 5 years old. Back then, she would always say yes to playing mermaids, spying on our moms, and singing/dancing to every *NSYNC song ever written.  Now, and since then, she has always been there for me. During the hardest time in my life, she flew from Anchorage, Alaska to be with me for less than 48 hours. She is my most emotional and compassionate girlfriend. Anna, I am so happy you said yes to being a bridesmaid because I couldn't imagine the day without you.

Courtney has been my best friend since we were 11 years old. Back then, Courtney was the sugar to my spice (our actual nicknames for each other) and I could always count on her to go anywhere and do anything, at anytime. Now, and since then, I can still always count on her and count on having a good time, every time. She is my most easy-going and positive girlfriend. Court, I am so happy you said yes to being my bridesmaid and bringing the fun to our wedding.

I met Mark (call him Daniels) my first year working at BPMI (this will be a trend with a lot of the groomsmen).  We've won multiple club sports championships, and will continue to into the future.  I was honored to be in his wedding and can't thank him enough for being in mine.  The most important moment though in our friendship was when we decided to go to a pick-up BPMI soccer game after work, where we both met a new girl named Mallory Smith...

Jackie has been my best friend since we were 8 years old. Back then, Jackie and I bonded over everything sports, especially grade school obstacle course competitions and most importantly, soccer. Now, and since then, she is my most hard-working and caring girlfriend. She cares so deeply for all her friends and family and I am so lucky to be one of those individuals. Thank you for saying yes to being my bridesmaid and being with me on my special day.

Dave (call him Hecht) and I also met at BPMI our first year there.  I proceeded to go out with him and his group of friends one weekend after that.  A couple T&amp;Cs (Tequila &amp; Cokes) later, I found myself hanging with that group quite often.  Hecht and I were roommates for five years, and I'm pretty certain that most of the people that will attend the wedding were at our place for a party or two.

Matt (call him Weir) and I met our first year at BPMI (I know, it's getting repetitive).  He's been a great friend over the years.  Weir is an excellent fisherman, yet the world's smartest fish, the Muskellunge, still has avoided him to this day.  I was honored to be in his wedding and am very happy he is going to be in mine.

Lauren has been my best friend since we were 3 years old. Back then, Lauren was so friendly, outgoing and social. There is never a dull moment or a lack in conversation when Lauren is around. Now, and since then, the conversations have changed from boys and gossip to careers and current events but those conversations are still going and she is the best person to have them with. She is my most hilarious and quick-witted girlfriend. Laur, thank you for saying yes to being a bridesmaid, the day would not be the same without you by my side.

I have known Lauren for about 6 years now and we immediately became best friends. Back then, we bonded instantly over food and family. Now, and since then, we've only gotten closer with almost monthly dinners where we continue to bond over everything weddings. She is so accepting and personable. Lauren, thank you for being a bridesmaid in our wedding, it means a lot to me and Mark.

Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to the wedding ceremony at St. Paul Cathedral. St. Paul Cathedral does not have a parking lot, but there is street parking and parking garages near the church.

Pittsburgh Marriott North

A shuttle will be available from the Pittsburgh Marriott North hotel to the reception at Noah's Event Venue. It will be going back and forth from 5:30-7:00 PM and 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM for your convenience.

One of our favorite things to do together is watch the Pittsburgh Penguins! If you are able, try to catch a game, or one of the many events the arena hosts daily.

We try to visit Phipps once a year to view the incredible flowers and plants. Make a quick visit while in town for a nice walk around and you will not be disappointed.

We love The Strip District so much we bought our first home there! There are so many things to do, from eating your way through, to shopping for anything you can imagine, especially Pittsburgh paraphernalia. You can never have enough!

Our favorite thing to do together is eat! We love trying new restaurants all around Pittsburgh, especially BYOB spots. We frequent the Made In Pittsburgh website for new restaurant ideas along with other fun things to do in the Pittsburgh area. Check out this site for some ideas and places to enjoy during your stay in the Burgh.

If we had to choose our favorite casual restaurants in Pittsburgh, it would have to be Gaucho (in the Strip District) and Noodlehead (in Shadyside)! Gaucho is one of our favorite places to go because it is BYOB and they have the BEST meats, corn, and bread. Basically, you can't go wrong with ordering anything on the menu. The one downfall is that you cannot make a reservation, so give yourself enough time to stroll through The Strip and wait in the potential long line. Noodlehead is our other favorite place to go because it is also BYOB and they have the best pork belly steam buns, Pad Thai and See Yew noodles. Again, the only downfall is that you cannot make reservations. Trust us on both of these places, the food will be worth it!

If we had to choose our favorite fancy restaurant in Pittsburgh, it would definitely be Altius on Mt. Washington. The views are amazing and the food is beyond amazing! Take a trip on the Incline up to the top of Mt. Washington and enjoy a lovely evening.

If you want to do a fun, fall activity outside of the city, visit Soergel Orchards! Soergel is 10 minutes from the suggested hotel (Pittsburgh Marriott North) and a great place to pick pumpkins and enjoy the crisp fall air.
