Our Wedding

Trevor and Mallory met during their freshman year at Lipscomb University… in the cafeteria (very romantic, we know). They became friends through a larger group, but when Trevor heard that Mallory played soccer in high school and later saw her all dressed up for the Dove Awards, he knew he wanted to get to know her better. Trevor would ask Mallory to go on walks around campus, often stopping at the soccer or baseball field to talk. These spots felt like little pieces of home for both of them. It took about a month of these walks before Trevor finally asked Mallory out. For their first date, Trevor meticulously planned a “7-stop date” (with a coordinated schedule, of course). Since Mallory wasn't from the area, he wanted her to experience new things: especially sushi (Mallory does not like seafood). Despite the whiplash of touring the city in one night, Mallory thought it was sweet how much time and effort Trevor put into planning the “perfect” date.&nbsp; From there, Trevor and Mallory walked through all of college life together. They joined social clubs, visited each other’s hometowns, went to formals, survived breaks and summers long-distance, studied abroad in Spain, and even made it past auditions for couples’ dance in Singarama (it’s a big deal, we promise).&nbsp; By the spring of 2025, Trevor and Mallory knew they’d found their forever teammate. Trevor had the proposal planned out for months (not surprising). He arranged for Mallory’s parents to fly in and surprise her, friends and family to gather for a secret engagement party, and even engraved the box Mallory keeps her ring in with the special date: 4/6/25. But, as life often goes, things didn’t quite follow the plan. Tornado warnings rolled through Nashville that weekend, flights were canceled, and Mallory came down with a fever. So Trevor postponed a week. On April 13, 2025, the weather was perfect, Mallory was feeling like herself again, and her parents were finally in town. After church, Trevor took her to their favorite hiking spot: Warner Park. At the overlook, where you can see the Nashville skyline peeking through the trees, Trevor’s family had set up a beautiful scene with photos and decorations. And there, he asked the easiest question Mallory’s ever answered.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early, around 4 pm. Make sure to consider Nashville traffic if you are staying further away from the venue.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! The attire is cocktail (semi-formal). Please no jeans, shorts, or athletic sneakers! We also ask that guests avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride: creams, ivories, and whites. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, while the cocktail hour will be outdoors.

     

CAN I BRING A GUEST?

Due to limited capacity, we will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as [Your Name] + [Guest] if a plus one has been given to you.

          

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Our wedding will be for ages 13+ with the exception of nursing babies. If your child is invited, it will be listed specifically on your invitation. We hope you view this as an opportunity for a date night or to spend time with your older children!

       

CAN I TAKE PICTURES/VIDEOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means that we are asking all phones to be put away and on silent or turned off during the ceremony. We've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives and we encourage you to live in the moment with us. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
