In October of eleventh grade, I met my sweet Noah Reid. He was the quiet, southern boy visiting my home church with his best friend, Beau. I did not pay much attention to the country boys, so Noah was not on my radar. However, in January of the same school year, Noah came on a youth retreat with Great Oaks. He was hilarious and kind. I started talking to him and getting to know him after this trip (I was starting to have a MAJOR crush). The more I got to know him, the more I liked him! He was and is funny, kind, down-to-earth, and gentle. I had never had a boy treat me so well. We began dating February of 2017 and I knew I loved him after three weeks of dating!
Since February 2017, we have both graduated high school and started our journey at Union University. Noah has been heavily involved with Lambda Chi Alpha. I have been involved in several different organizations. We both volunteer at our new church, Fellowship Bible Church which we both love so dearly. Throughout high school and college, we have both grown and matured with each other. Finding your "person" young has proven to come with many challenges, but also many rewards. I have gotten to watch Noah grow into the man he is today, who is a wonderfully, humble leader.
Noah proposed on May 27, 2020 during the middle of a pandemic! He took me to all of our significant places. The day ended with us going to the field we had our first date in. It was overgrown with beautiful wildflowers! While I was taking pictures of the pretty sight, Noah was working up the courage to propose. He eventually got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Without hesitation, I said yes.
Noah and I have loved having each of you walk beside us throughout our journey. Rather if you have known us for our entire lives or just a few months, each of you are so special to us. Thank you for loving us well and for joining us on our special day!
