Our Wedding

Our Story

We are aware that a lot of our guests live in Houston, and that we have a wedding in Conroe. As such, we have reserved a small block at the hotel for the night before, and a larger block for the night of the wedding. If you are planning to stay the night at the hotel, and the room block appears full, please let Hunter or Mandy know so that the room block can be increased. In order to ensure that you do not miss this discounted rate, please book your hotel by April 8th, 2021.We will be chartering a bus between our hotel in the Woodlands and the venue in Conroe. In this way, we can ensure that our guests are able to travel safely.

The Westin at The Woodlands

We will be utilizing charter buses to transport guests between the hotel and the wedding. The charters will be departing from the hotel at 4:30 in order to ensure that guests arrive to the ceremony on time.We will have buses depart from the wedding venue and return to the hotel at 9 PM, 10 PM, and 10:30 PM. in order to accommodate differing schedules.If you are not staying at the hotel, but would like to save money on your uber/lyft ride by utilizing this charter bus, you are more than welcome to. We only ask that you please let us know you are planning to do so, so that we can ensure that we have enough buses reserved due to the buses operating at half capacity. COVID-19 Testing

We highly encourage all of our guests to get a rapid COVID-19 test prior to the weeding in order to ensure the safety of all guests. We also highly encourage guests to take their own temperatures prior to attending the wedding.

Socially Distanced Wristbands

We are requesting that our guests wear wristbands to easily identify each attendee's comfort level with socially distancing. We are all in the same storm, but we are not all in the same boat. We understand that some of our guests will have been able to receive the vaccine at this time, while others have not. Some guests may have not had the same opportunity, or they have other family members that they have to protect themselves for. As such, we ask that our guests please be mindful of the color of each other guest's wristband. See below for a definition of what each color represents:Green: Happy with hugs and handshakes.Yellow: Okay with socializing, but please don't get too close as I would like to refrain from physical contact.Red: Happy to be here, but i will be sending my love with a smile and a wave from 6 feet away. Please note that for those who do select red, Hunter and Mandy will attempt to work with the venue to ensure a more distanced seating arrangement.

Hand Sanitizer and Masks

Masks will be available for all guests, and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the wedding. The venue will be making rounds every thirty minutes to sanitize door handles and other areas where there is a high volume of touching. All guests will also be provided their own personal hand sanitizer as a gift from the groom and bride.All vendors will be wearing masks throughout the event, and all vendors will have their temperatures checked for the event.

Food and Catering

All venue and catering staff will be wearing a mask and gloves during the wedding. There will be temperature checks for all vendors at the wedding.In addition, there will be a buffet style dinner served in a separate room. We will have the guests obtain food in when their table number is called in order to reduce a line of people congregating in one location. Each guest will hold their plate as the catering staff serves each guest (this will reduce multiple people touching the servingware).

Venue

The venue will be checking the temperatures for all vendors prior to the event.The Carriage house holds up to 300 guests, but due to the pandemic, we have purposely limited the guest list, and we expect the venue to be operating at 45% capacity or less.The venue offers the balcony area of the chapel for COVID safe viewing for up to six guests during the ceremony.&nbsp;&nbsp;We will reserve this area for members who have been identified as "red" under the wristband policy.The venue does have a large outdoor area, we will be able to enjoy some fresh air during the cocktail hour. There is a conservatory on the grounds for anyone who would like to spend a little extra time outside during the reception. Pending the weather, we are hoping to keep the doors to the reception hall open in order to ensure a well ventilated area.

Bus Transportation

We are providing a chartered bus between the hotel and the venue. While on the bus, all guests are required to wear a mask. We also ask that guests sit in every other row to be respectful of other guests. Because buses will be operating at half capacity, please let us know if you will be utilizing this transportation to or from the wedding o that we can ensure that we can make the appropriate reservations.All buses are cleaned and disinfected with Vital Oxide (Hospital Grade solution that is&nbsp;EPA-approved and CDC-recommended). Cleaning and disinfecting includes all high and low surface touch points including:&nbsp;entry handrails, overhead bins, seats, head rests, arm rests, seat belts, cup holders, windowsills, door handles, restroom and baggage door handles both inside and outside the vehicle.&nbsp;Please note this is in addition to the standard cleaning procedures that the buses receive on a regular basis which are disinfected after every move&nbsp;when you travel in the motor coaches. Each bus also bring fresh air into the cabin every 10 minutes. In addition, the bus uses MERV-11 air filters and UV lights in the AC system to virtually eliminate viruses, bacteria, and mold for an added level of protection.
