We were introduced by mutual friends and quickly realized we had a surprising amount in common—faith, Oklahoma roots, a strong work ethic and a shared love for Oklahoma State.

Our very first date was on the golf course at Oakwood Country Club in the fall of 2022. It was fun, easy and full of potential—but with busy schedules, distance between Woodward and Enid, and livestock season in full swing, the timing just wasn’t quite right.

JM & MM stayed in touch but nothing progressed during that busy time in their lives. Mandy was growing her business and Jon Marc was growing the farm. Our careers and aspirations were at the forefront of our daily lives. Fast forward to the day after OYE 2024—yes, literally the day after, just as Mandy suspected might happen—Jon Marc reached back out.

After a little convincing and a lot of persistence, Mandy finally agreed to what she now calls “the redemption date”—a fancy dinner at Kat’s Steakhouse on July 5, 2024. From that night on, everything changed. We were both ready, and this time, life finally lined up.

Mandy eventually got introduced to the pig barn, and let’s be honest—she hasn’t stopped cleaning since. Today, we operate Holt Livestock together, a passionate and purpose-driven show pig program. We love mentoring young showmen, helping families in the barn, and giving back to their two communities. Jon Marc brings the deep agricultural roots, livestock knowledge and financial brainpower. Mandy brings the energy, structure, communication and snacks.

When we’re not in the barn, you’ll find us sneaking in a golf game, spending time with family, or enjoying a quiet moment in what we affectionately call our “vacation home” in Enid. We love relaxing and catching "Golden Hour" together, whether it be in the pasture checking cows or on the back patio with our people.

After many prayers and patience, Jon Marc and Mandy both agree: God’s timing was perfect. Our paths aligned exactly when they were supposed to—and we’re so excited for the future we’re building together fueled by faith, fun and a shared belief in hard work.
