Q + A

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will take place outdoors at The Abbey, surrounded by nature’s magic and a touch of enchantment. Afterward, we’ll enjoy cocktail hour outside under a tent, with an outdoor fireplace to gather around. The reception will follow indoors, in The Mill, where we’ll celebrate with warmth, laughter, and plenty of dancing. We recommend bringing a cozy layer in case the evening air gets a little crisp—and comfortable shoes are always a good idea!

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There is plenty of on-site parking for everyone, so you won’t need to worry about finding a spot. Just follow the signs when you arrive, and you’ll be all set to enjoy the celebration!

What time should we arrive?

We kindly ask that guests begin arriving at 3:00 PM and no later than 3:45 PM to allow time for seating and to ensure the ceremony can begin promptly at 4:00 PM. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Can I take photos?

We kindly ask you to keep your phones and cameras tucked away during our unplugged ceremony so everyone can fully immerse themselves in the moment. Once the reception begins, feel free to snap as many photos as you like—we can’t wait to see the celebration through your eyes!

What’s the vibe/theme of the wedding?

Think witchy elegance meets boho romance. Expect a touch of magic, enchanting details, and a celebration filled with warmth and love. Feel free to lean into the vibe with your attire—earthy tones, flowing fabrics, or subtle mystical accents are always welcome!

What’s the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by October 5, 2025, so we can finalize all the magical details for the big day. No response will be considered a “no.” If we don’t hear from you by the RSVP deadline, we’ll assume you won’t be joining us. We’ll miss you, but we completely understand!

What's on the menu?

We will kick off the evening with a selection of delicious hors d’oeuvres, including fresh-cut fruit, farm-fresh vegetables, a mac & cheese bar with a variety of toppings, Caprese skewers with fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic glaze, tomato basil bruschetta on toasted crostini, bourbon BBQ meatballs with a rich, smoky glaze, and grilled cheese shooters served with creamy tomato bisque. For dinner, guests can choose between an airline chicken breast with an apricot-ginger reduction or a red wine-braised short rib with a rich beef jus reduction. Both entrées will be served with heirloom maple-butter carrots and creamy polenta. For our vegan and vegetarian guests, our chef will prepare a seasonal, plant-based entrée featuring the freshest ingredients of the season. A special kids’ meal will also be available, including chicken tenders, mac & cheese, and applesauce.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, light refreshments will be served. While I’m sober and appreciate mindful consumption, we encourage everyone to use their best judgment and enjoy responsibly. We'll also be including a fun and full "his and hers" mocktail menu featuring delicious, thoughtfully crafted, non-alcoholic options for those who prefer to skip the booze.

Is this a traditional wedding?

Yes! We will have a traditional ceremony with rings, vows, and all the heartfelt moments you’d expect. In addition, we will be incorporating a handfasting ceremony, an ancient tradition symbolizing the binding of two lives together. During this ritual, our hands will be wrapped with a cord as we make promises to each other, representing unity, commitment, and the weaving of our future together.
