Family and friends, we are excited to announce our marriage/nikah for April 25th, followed by a Summer wedding, details to follow. Your presence is our greatest gift; if you wish to honor us, we humbly prefer monetary gifts in lieu of presents.
Muslim marital events often require fashion that follow Muslim customs and etiquette and guests are recommended to dress conservatively.
Women are recommended to fully cover their arms, legs, and, if comfortable, to cover their hair with a hijab out of respect inside the mosque, especially the prayer room.
Men are required to cover their legs and upper arms (no shorts or sleeveless shirts please).
Muslim marital events are very culturally diverse, often embracing rich cultural elements, so have fun incorporating traditional wear, fabrics, and design into your look. Both Arab and Colombian customs usually guests typically dress modestly but in vibrant colors or jewel tones.
Muslim ceremonies also involve sitting on the floor and removing your shoes when entering the main prayer hall (musullah).

The after event will take place in the outside covered pavilion, just outside the mosque and so feel free to dress in layers so that you can be comfortable no matter the weather!
