Things to Do

We're very appreciative of you all for making the trek out to Colorado! We wanted to provide a list of some of our favorite places to dine, drink and activities to help fill your time!

Activities near or around Denver

Hiking

July is a great time to hike in CO and you can find ones for all skill levels. Just be prepared for the altitude even if the hike is just in the foothills. You can download All Trails app and search through all different kinds of hikes based on difficulty, length, elevation gain, etc.

Rockies Baseball Game vs MN Twins

The Rockies stadium is great whether you like baseball or not. For all our Minnesota people the Rockies happen to be playing the twins the Saturday following the wedding. If you are less into the baseball aspect and more into the hot dogs and beverages, you can grab $17 standing tickets for the rooftop!

Red Rocks

Whether or not you want to go for a concert, Red Rocks is a sight to see. There is even yoga classes there on some weekend mornings. There's also plenty of hikes right near the amphitheater.

River Float

This is one of our favorite summer activities. There are two different river float options. One is in Golden and the other is in Littleton. Littleton is less rapids generally but you can check out their websites linked above to see how water levels are during that time.

Denver Botanical Gardens

Denver Botanical Gardens is always great for a pretty stroll. They tend to have special showcases every season. Last year it was an Orchid special. You can always purchase tickets right at the door.

Boulder's Farmers Market

Boulder has a great farmers market every Saturday morning in the summer. Its fun to walk their strip and then walk and shop down Pearl Street. They have great food trucks right at the market or plenty of spots on Pearl Street.

Cherry Creek Mall

If you like to shop this is what Denver has to offer. Has pretty much every store you could want in the main mall and across the street there are plenty of bars and restaurants to take a rest and get a drink after a long day of shopping.

Restaurants

Sushi Den $$$ - Washington Park

Sushi Den is our favorite boujee sushi spot here in CO. They fly in their fish daily. Reservations book out far in advance so look a month or two out!

Wolfs Tailor $$$ - LOHI

Wolfs tailor is our favorite tasting menu here in Denver. It recently won a Michelin star and focuses on sustainability. I recommend booking this minimum two months in advance!

Redeemer Pizza $$ - RINO

A delicious sourdough pizza joint. They always have fun specialty pies and a great Caesar salad. Good for takeout or ordering in.

Nana's Dim Sum $$ - LOHI

Favorite Dim Sum restaurant in Denver. Their spicy schezuan dumplings are the best we've ever had. They do take walk in's but I recommend making a reservation here as they get pretty busy.

American Elm $$ - Berkeley

A new american style menu that hits the spot every time we go and we go a lot. Everything is amazing but their brick oven chicken is perfection.

Hey Kiddo $$ - Berkeley

Sister restaurant to the Michelin star Wolfs Tailor restaurant. This is all shareable style. The usually have 4-5 main "center pieces" they call them and then a few sides and apps. Their bar is also amazing. This fills up quickly as well so I recommend making reservations a month or so in advance.

Stowaway $ - RINO

Great brunch spot with a fusion of American and Japanese styled breakfast. Unique menu but always hits the spot. Great Bloody Mary.

Avanti $ - LOHI

Avanti is an awesome food hall located right over the bridge from Downtown. They have a great patio to sit out during the summer and have options for everyone. Our favorite's are the Pizza and the Arepas. Their drinks are fantastic too.

Work & Class $ - RINO

Work & Class is no frills and really good food. The menu is just proteins and sides and made to share. Always add the sweet potatoes fries. They don't take reservations - all walk in.

Drinks

Williams & Graham $$ - LOHI

Fun "speakeasy" where you enter through a bookshelf. Amazing drinks and really great food too. If you are feeling crazy get the bone marrow louge which is exactly what it sounds like. Make a res in advance even if you are just going for drinks

Cooper Lounge $$ - Downtown

Located right in Union Station on the top floor. Great spot to grab a cocktail before a dinner downtown. Better off to make a reservation here in case or just show up right when they open.

Wynkoop Brewery $ - Downtown

Our favorite bar to go out to. Upstairs has a ton of pool tables and some darts. Fun place to end the night.

Avanti $ - LOHI

Listed under restaurants too but such a great spot to sit out on the patio at. When we go out in LOHI we love to start here.
