Our Story
Our Love Story
Mara and Daniel's love story began on September 28th, 2018. Mara had just started her first year of grad school and Daniel was living and working in Detroit. Mara and Daniel discovered they grew up 5 minutes from each other, lived across the street in college, and were friends with all the same people; it seemed crazy their paths never crossed! The two started to bond over their love for the Ann Arbor food scene and getting cider slushies at the Franklin Cider Mill, but most importantly over their love for Michigan Football. They went to Bigalora (now one of their favorite restaurants) on their first date, and Daniel knew Mara was the girl he was going to marry.
Over the years, Mara and Daniel attended many many many Michigan Football games together! GO BLUE!
Daniel started taking Mara to Charlevoix and it became their favorite place in the world!
They've taken trips together to Florida, Chicago, and Philadelphia!
And eventually found their first and forever home in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
On June 11th, 2023, Mara came home from brunch with her family to their house filled with rose petals, candles, and pictures of important moments in her and Daniel's relationship. She started crying even before she saw Daniel standing on the back deck surrounded by flowers. Daniel got down on one knee and asked Mara to spend the rest of her life with him. Mara said yes, of course, and they spent the day celebrating with friends and family. Mara and Daniel cannot wait to start this new chapter of their lives together and are excited to make more memories to last a lifetime!
