Marc and Britnie met through CatholicMatch. Thank you online dating, because otherwise they would have never met.

In North Providence, Rhode Island, born and raised. On the street is where Marc spent most of his time. Playing football, and doing other law abiding activities, such as playing frisbee.

Britnie was the nomad of the world and ended up in the hood of Philadelphia. At one point, they were actually less than 20 miles from each other. But Marc was in dignified Villanova, while Britnie was studying biology and practicing survival of the fittest at Temple. Unfortunately, they did not meet then, because to this day Marc still won't venture into the city on his own. They went on to different paths of lives and both ended up in Virginia 10 years later.

Marc and Britnie's first date was on a blustery Sunday afternoon at a local brewery in November 2021. Marc decided to get there 15 minutes early, while Britnie was busy taking care of errands and arrived a fashionable 30 minutes late. Accompanying her was supposed to be her fierce, wild-wolf looking guard dog. Too bad Bam was easily bribed by treats and belly-rubs, and soon enough he was Team Marc.

Britnie flashed her big dentist smile and Marc quickly forgave her tardiness. Hours passed, and even though both were shivering, they still enjoyed each other's company. At least enough to meet again. And again. And again after that.

After spending New Years Day 2023 together in DC, Marc was inspired to propose the following morning. Britnie was brushing her teeth while Marc paced back and forth awkwardly. Unenthusiastically and half asleep, Britnie barked: "What?" while toothpaste was foaming out of her mouth.

To her surprise, Marc got down on one knee. He told Britnie that he wanted to propose when she first wakes up, because he loves her as is, without make up or anything superficial. Rabid or not.

On the surface, Marc and Britnie don't seem to have much in common. Marc has a passion for sports and enjoys doing Spartan Races. Britnie is uncoordinated and trips over everything. But together, they are more confident to take on life challenges as a team. Marc loves Britnie because she is headstrong and fearless, especially when she dragged him to an abandoned house for the best BBQ in Richmond (by mistake). Britnie loves Marc because he is kind, patient, caring, supportive, and tolerates her unique sense of humor as well as her driving.

To Britnie, Marc feels like home.
