Please visit: Guidelines for Receiving Holy Communion. (If the link isn't working, open in a new tab).

I've never been to a Catholic wedding. What can I expect?

Our wedding will take place during a full Catholic Mass, which lasts about an hour. You can expect Scripture readings, prayers, a homily (short reflection from the priest), the exchange of vows, and Holy Communion. There will also be music and moments of quiet reflection.

Can I receive Holy Communion if I am not Catholic?

In the Catholic Church, Holy Communion is reserved for practicing Catholics who are in a state of grace (you can read more about that under "Helpful Links" at the bottom of the page). If you are not Catholic, or are Catholic but not in a state of grace, we kindly ask that you remain in your pew during that part of the Mass. That said, you're warmly invited to participate in the rest of the ceremony — through prayer, song, and joyful presence. Please refer to the links down below for more specific guidelines.

What is the dress-code for the wedding?

We ask that guests dress modestly and respectfully for the ceremony, which will take place in a Catholic church. Think church-appropriate formal. Shoulders covered is appreciated, especially for women. For men, a suit or dress shirt and slacks is perfect. Please also keep in mind that you'll be in the same outfit for the entire celebration — from the church to the reception — so choose something you'll feel comfortable in for both settings!

What time should I arrive at the church?

We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early, as Mass begins promptly and late arrivals may be asked to wait until a suitable pause in the ceremony.

Can I take photographs during the ceremony?

We kindly request that you refrain from photo or video-taking during the ceremony in order to show reverence and respect for the Mass. A hired photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards.

Am I allowed a plus-one?

We are so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful family and friends. In order to keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally listed on the invitation. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Will there be an open bar at the reception?

Champagne toast and table wine will be provided. A cash bar will be open for purchase of other alcoholic beverages.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Yes, you can check out our Amazon wedding registry here: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/registry/1Q25HGYVRVT54

What about accomodations?

We have reserved a courtesy hotel room block for the nights of 12/27 and 12/28 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Farmington. The nightly rate for those dates is about 130 USD per night. Breakfast is not included in this price, however the hotel is conveniently located less than ten minutes from the church, is in a good area, and has an indoor pool for guests to enjoy. If you are interested, please indicate so on the RSVP form.

What date should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than December 1st, 2025.
