Avery is a mentor become friend to Marcelo. They would frequently spend days and nights speaking about the Lord. Avery has stood by Marcelo for a long time, continuously reminding him of God's love and faithfulness. Managing the occasional banter. Avery is by far the wisest person Marcelo knows.

Sofia is one of Joy’s closest friends. They met in college. What began as late-night study sessions grew into coffee dates, sleepovers, and many shenanigans (Ask Sofia about how we almost got arrested).

Matthew is one of the best friends Marcelo made in college. His quick wit and dark humor were always a favorite of Marcelo's. Matthew spent so much time doing homework in Marcelo's room that they eventually put them in one together. When Matthew sets out to do anything, it will always be done with 100% capacity and precision.

Mercy is one of Joy’s favorite and most stylish younger sisters. She loves fun jewelry, random conversations, and superheroes. Mercy is very crafty and you'll often find her in her room working on her latest masterpiece.

As on of Marcelo's oldest friends, Calvin knows Marcelo exceptionally well. He loves all things outdoors. Before Marcelo moved away, they would rock climb, snowboard together, or enjoy a night by the fire. Calvin is heavy-duty mechanic and helicopter pilot. Making him Marcelo's coolest friend.

Jael and Joy first connected through camp, and since then Jael has become a dear friend. Through countless coffee dates and walks, Jael has been a dear friend and support helping Joy navigate dating and relationships over the past several years. 

Jael Meunier 

Marcelo met Cornie about two years ago. Cornie is a farmer and pastor. He is the most down-to-earth person Marcelo knows. Cornie loves the Lord, his wife, and people. At home he has chickens and a super cool silo office, you should ask him about it.

Cornie Unrau 

Michelle is one of Joy's long standing friends. Michelle and Joy first connected through Joy’s older sister, Faith. It took a few years, but they grew close through sleepovers at Michelle’s apartment, countless visits to the Old Spaghetti Factory, and - over the past year - many double dates.

Michelle Neufeld 

Nate was one of Marcelo's professors in college. He worked in a class called Urban Edge, where students learned about other cultures, beliefs, people groups, and ministries within the city. Nate is currently serving on a mission trip in Albania with his wife and their two children. He is an incredible volleyball player, father, and husband. Nate sets a great example of losing one's life for the sake of Christ.
