WATER SHOES! Some of the beaches will be rocky, others will be sandy, but bring shoes you can walk in the water and on the rocks with. This will protect your feet and allow you to comfortably explore.

We have chosen to get married in Monopoli, a charming little seaside town in southern Italy nestled on the Adriatic Sea. Monopoli is known for its walkability, it is small enough to explore on foot and many streets are pedestrian only, making it perfect for leisurely walks along the ancient streets and harbors.

The closest airport to Monopoli is Bari (BRI) about 30 minutes away. However, it may be cheaper to fly directly to a larger european city, such as Rome (FCO) then fly to Bari once already in Europe. (Example: SFO>FCO, FCO>BRI) Brindisi (BDS) airport is also nearby. Trains are an option too!

There are various ways to get from Bari airport to Monopoli including bus, train, cab, private car or shuttle. Some of the hotels/stays we listed offer an airport shuttle service. We suggest once you book your hotel ask if they have a shuttle or preferred driver to pick you up from the airport.

Under the "Hotels & Stays" tab we have listed several accommodation options. You of course are welcome to research alternative places, those are just some suggestions - if you will need transportation to and from the wedding it is easiest if you stay in Monopoli City.

The ideal day to arrive in Monopoli would be September 1st so you can settle in before the wedding, September 3rd.

The wedding venue, Masseria Spina, is an Italian farmhouse which was built between the 11th and 18th century and sits just about 10 minutes outside the city center of Monopoli Italy.

The guests who have pre- requested transportation for wedding day and beach day will meet at the same central pick up/ drop off location on both days. You are responsible for getting to and from this point! The pick up/drop off point for all transportation is from Via Nazario Sauro (the authorised bus stop/ parking area) This is in central monopoli and should be within distance of your stay. Wedding day: 5:15pm pickup and varied return times Beach Day: 11:45am pickup, 5:00pm drop off Please be on-time if you need transportation. Thank you!
