Marcus & Libby met in 2009 at Damascus High School in a study hall class (although Marcus would say they met the previous year in Health class). They soon became friends and then something more when Marcus asked Libby to be his girlfriend. They spent two years together attending homecomings, proms, soccer games, swim meets, and then their graduation.
When it was time to go away to college, they chose to attend two different schools while also choosing to stay together in a long-distance relationship. Four years, many tears shed by Libby, many miles put onto Mr. Mog's car, and other challenges along the way...they graduated and moved back home.
After a year of working and adapting to real world struggles, Marcus decided to go back to school to earn his doctorate of pharmacy, which meant more long distance. Three more years and MANY more miles on Mr. Mogs car...Marcus became Doctor Mog and Libby was happy and relieved to have Marcus home for good.
After seven long years of school and a lot planning, Marcus decided to pop the question to his high school sweetheart on June 1, 2019.
Libby of course said yes, along with a real ugly cry (as seen in the photo).
In January of 2020, Marcus & Libby moved in together with their long time friend Pablo and their Puerto Rican Rescue Pup, Mikey all while Libby was pursuing her Master's Degree in Special Education: Applied Behavior Analysis (which she will be graduating with the week before her wedding). A month after they moved in together, a pandemic hit the world and they had to adapt to new way of life and new set of challenges.
Libby & Marcus have waited 11 years for their wedding day and cannot wait for their friends and family to be a part of their day!
