It was love at first swipe!
We had no idea what was about to happen when we met for our first date at Lure Fish House. The conversation and laughter went on for hours, until the server politely informed us that the restaurant was closed. We didn't want the date to end because we were having such a great time. We made sure to plan to get together as often as we could thereafter.
The weeks flew by and turned into months. We began taking weekend trips together and hosting parties. The night of what became our first annual Halloween party, we told each other "I love you" for the first time.
Introducing the kids to Marcus was a breath of fresh air. They seemed to take to him right away. over the last couple years, we've enjoyed outings to many amusement parks, beaches and family vacations. We have made such great team blending this family.
In April 2024, we were overjoyed to visit Marcus' parents and relatives in Spain. It was our first international trip together. Marcus' family was so warm and welcoming and we were able to sight see, eat amazing food and be in great company.
We have spent holidays with Stephanie's family in Santa Clarita, as well as Marcus' relatives in Temecula. Both families have welcomed us as a couple with open arms. We both feel so lucky to have such great families to join.
This year in January, for Stephanie's 30th (plus 10) birthday, Marcus planned a dinner date. We "ran into" Marcus' friend John at the bar. They had a whole story about John meeting a client for a meeting. It's not that I am (Steph) gullible, it's that my mind went to surprise party. When I didn't see any of my friends there, I started to believe this story. John offered to take our picture, and that is when Marcus proposed. It was such a wonderful surprise. Of course I said yes with tears in my eyes and he made me the happiest girl in the world.
We don't know what the future holds, but with the support of our wonderful family and friends, and the love that we have for each other, we know its going to be incredible.
