We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you in the beautiful city of Florence, Italy! To help you plan your trip, we have put together some useful information to ensure your journey is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Getting to Florence
Traveling from the United States to Florence typically involves a flight to a major European hub such as Paris, Frankfurt, or Amsterdam, followed by a connecting flight to Florence's Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR).
Alternatively, you can fly into Rome or Milan and take a high-speed train to Florence (Santa Maria Novella Train Station). If you're flying out of a major city such as Miami, Orlando, or Atlanta, this will likely be your best option. To make your travel even more convenient, you can use the Omio app to book your train tickets. Omio allows you to compare and book train tickets, providing real-time information on schedules, prices, and travel times. Tickets can also be purchased in the train stations or directly on the train company's apps (Italo, Trenitalia, etc.).
From the train station or other locations in Italy, you can take a taxi to your destination. Prior to arriving in Florence, we recommend downloading appTaxi. This app is similar to Uber or Lyft in the United States. We do not recommend renting a car while in Florence as parking is challenging to find and expensive. Transportation to and from the wedding venue, which is approximately 25 minutes outside the city center, will be provided. Roundtrip transportation will also be provided to Fattoria Lavacchio Winery.
For your convenience, please refer to the map on our website for ideas on the best places to stay throughout Italy. This will help you make the most of your trip and explore the incredible sights the city has to offer.
