We met through mutual friends during trivia night at a local bar Hammerheads in Dewey Beach, DE in February of 2017. It was a bit of a rocky start, but we just couldn't seem to stay away from each other. The next three years were filled with countless adventures, the inevitable ups and downs and plenty of firsts. Road trips, coffee dates, Luna frisbee dates & agility training, beach trips, solar eclipses, fishing and kayaking days, meeting families, jeep rides, mini golf and boardwalk days, ferry rides, plane rides, aquarium and zoo visits, movie nights, football sundays, concerts and comedy shows, airshows, emergency room visits, emergency vet visits, human & dog birthdays, doggie naps, rainy days, college graduations, 1 car hit by a deer, 4 weddings, countless job changes, new car purchases, location moves, snow days, and picking out Christmas trees.

But honestly, once Luna and Jay had become inseparable, it was pretty much a done deal from there on.

The next three years consisted of more job changes, World changes, move to a new state, 2 home rentals, 1 car accident, 2 surgeries, 3 bouts of poison ivy, more vet visits, 1 new member of the family – Aurora Borealis! More doggie naps & birthdays, 3 animal rescue missions, antiquing trips, bigfoot hunting and a hundred more coffee dates. Meeting new neighbors, game nights, and hanging with old friends. Time with family, changes in seasons, house hunting, more road trips with the pups, and becoming homeowners for the first time! 3 more weddings, home demo & remodeling, flooded basements and emergency trips to Home Depot! Garden building & tending. And of course more Christmas Seasons with the most recent one including a Very Special Proposal!
