Atchison is the birthplace of Amelia Earhart! Check out her Birthplace Museum located at 223 N Terrace St, Atchison, KS 66002 in a beautiful historic neighborhood as well as the Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum located at 16701 286th Rd, Atchison, KS 66002.

Holiday Distillery is located approximately 25 minutes from Atchison and has a tasting room as well as an excellent tour. It is one of Margaret's favorite places to take friends who are visiting Atchison!

Weston, MO is a cute town located approximately 20 minutes from Atchison! The historic downtown has plenty of food options, unique shops, and even a few wineries. Some of our favorites include O'Malley's Pub, Pirtle Winery, and Tin Kitchen.

If you are looking to get outside and do something active Weston Bend State Park has some great trails through the Missouri Bluffs. There are a variety of lengths of hikes to choose from!
