Maggie:I had a conversation with my mom the week before leaving for my senior year that I was done trying to look for “the one” in college. “Oswego is NOT the place I’m gonna find a husband, it's just not” I told her. After all, my checklist (which she had me make) was a lengthy one. Finding someone who was athletic, successful in school, and musical was impossible in my mind. That wasn’t until Monday, August 22nd, 2022. I walked into my 8 am my polymers class, and there my future husband was sitting a row away from me… Ben:Abcdefg

How we met

We can confidently say that we killed our phones in this time of the relationship. We were on the phone with each other every chance we got. From Maggie driving to her student teaching placements or work, and Ben walking to class in the morning, to falling asleep on the phone and not realizing until the next morning. The phones would get hot. But we were able to make up for the extended amount of time being apart by having those facetimes and voice calls.&nbsp;We made every effort to see each other during our breaks. Whether it was by car, train, or even plane, we promised not to go more than a month without seeing each other (though there were some 2 month pauses which was the WORST; glad that's over!). We never missed a birthday or an anniversary, which we're proud of.
