Daniel and Margo’s love story began in late 2019, when their paths first crossed after a mutual friend, Lily, introduced them at an ugly sweater party in Denver. Neither one of them ever expected that night would change their lives forever. Afterwards they set up a date to go bowling, where they met up at Lucky Strike, but never made it to the lane. The two of them spent the evening chatting and laughing - only to have to reschedule actual time for bowling.

However, in the early part of 2020, Margo’s life consisted of many 60 hour work weeks as a nurse in the COVID-19 pandemic. It wasn’t until August 2020 that they reconnected again at Lily’s wedding where the two of them spent the night talking and dancing. They have been together ever since.

Due to Margo’s work, the relationship started out primarily as long distance with her working in Beaumont, TX. She would fly back to Denver every 10 days to spend time with Daniel. And upon her final return to Colorado, Margo knew that her home was with Daniel. The two of them spent the next year and a half enjoying Colorado with many different adventures including Rockies games, Monster Jams, Broncos games, the lazy river at Elitch Gardens, hikes and skiing.

As Daniel’s career led them on an unexpected adventure, the couple found themselves relocating across the country to Daniel’s hometown in Charlottesville, VA. Despite a substantial change in environment, Margo was along for the adventure which has created a beautiful new chapter in their lives. Their shared experiences and new beginnings strengthened their relationship further and created a foundation for a future of happiness.

Daniel proposed to Margo in October of 2023, in what seemed to be an evening full of guessing. Daniel had planned a nice walk on the beach around sunset, but felt as though the weather conditions weren’t conducive to capture the moment with the drone. Instead, he and Margo walked along the beach for almost an hour with her anticipating the big question. Without a proposal, the two of them went on to play mini golf where they were essentially the only people in the area. There were several times in which Margo thought it was going to be the “big ask”, as her shoe kept coming untied and Daniel tried to assist her with keeping her laces together, often on one knee. As the night continued, the two of them went to dinner at the Historic Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach, in what was disguised as a late birthday dinner for Margo.Thinking she would have to display some more patience, Margo had come to terms with the idea that the proposal was not happening that evening. However, Daniel had other plans when he insisted that the two of them go for another walk, this time in a beautifully lit garden with the Cavalier behind them. There Daniel knelt down and in a heartfelt and sincere proposal, asked Margo to spend the rest of her life with him. It was a day filled with love, laughter and memories that they will cherish forever as part of their story.

Their journey together has been one of growth and discovery, and now, as they prepare to say “I do” in October 2024, they are excited to celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them. With Margo’s caring heart and Daniel’s tech-savvy charm, they are ready to embark on this next chapter of their lives as husband and wife.
