Q + A

What time should I arrive at the wedding?

We recommend arriving at least 20–30 minutes before the ceremony begins. This will give you time to park, find your seat, and settle in before the festivities start.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, the dress code is formal. Sophisticated dresses, evening gown, tailored pant suit, or anything elegant. We look forward to celebrating with you in style!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held indoors, and the reception will be indoors as well. Please plan your attire accordingly, and note that during August the evenings may cool down.

What is the best way to get to the venue?

The ceremony is being held at the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas [2115 Summit Ave, St. Paul, MN 55105]. Following the ceremony, the reception will take place at The Depot in Minneapolis [225 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55401]. Details for locations to park at each location will be provided in detail below.

Will transportation be provided?

No. However, the reception is a short 10-15 minute drive. West River Road Parkway is a beautiful drive along the Mississippi River if you want to avoid the highways.

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

No, we kindly ask that the celebration remain an adults-only event. We hope you understand, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus-one. We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but due to venue limitations, we kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend.

Where can I park at the Ceremony?

There are a few great options around the University of St. Thomas! On weekends, parking in lots around campus are free. There is usually always an open spot at the Anderson Parking Facility, this is around a 5-10 minute walk from the Chapel. Another great spot is the Anderson Student Center Parking Garage, which is about a 5 minute walk from the Chapel. These are both paid parking lots, so another option is street parking on Summit Ave, around a 5 minute walk from the Chapel; please note that sometimes during the year Summit Ave has parking restrictions posted.

Where can I park at the Reception?

There is a parking garage located underneath The Depot! You will need to access The Depot from 5th Ave S to enter this parking garage (please see the blue pin in the photo below). There is also the Gateway Parking Ramp across the street on the corner of 4th Ave S and Washington Ave; it is a pretty inexpensive ramp to park in, but please be aware that if there is a sporting event downtown, pricing may be more expensive. *Little tip - if there is event pricing at this ramp, it will not apply to your parking ticket if you leave an hour after the game is done.
