Beluga whales, penguins, sea lions, and the world's cutest tortoise! See it all at the famous Mystic Aquarium. If you're interested, they also have animal encounters you can sign up for ahead of time. The aquarium is a research institution, so you're sure to learn a lot about conservation while watching seals do tricks. What more could anyone want?
Plus, while you're over there, check out Olde Mystic Village (see below).

This brewery, located in the old bank building, is a great time. Cool vibes, great beer, and board games!
A classic, family-style diner right across from Olde Mystic Village. With a huge menu, there's something for everyone. If you're feeling a classic, try a cheeseburger or buffalo chicken wrap in honor of Mark. Or, if you want some comfort food, try Mari's college go-to, an Oreo milkshake and fries!
This bakery has the best -- THE BEST -- croissants in town! Also, try their massive cookies! We highly recommend the iced coffee and tea, too.
If you're looking for more of an evening vibe, they do have an upstairs bar and restaurant: Mix Rooftop Restaurant & Bar (mixmystic.com)
Located right on Bank Street in New London, this cafe is a great place to enjoy the views and have some excellent coffee and sandwiches. We recommend the iced raspberry mocha (with oat milk, if you want to be like Mari).
This gorgeous restaurant is one of Mystics best.
