Our Wedding

Having both prayed for their future spouse since they were children. Isaac and Mari are the piece of each other they have been searching for. Isaac had a friend group that was quite welcoming, and through that Mari found herself at the door at what seemed to ironically be called the Bachelors Pad. Unknowing her future husband was in front of her- the first interaction paints quite a picture. Mari dropped her keys while she was fidgeting, apologized, went back to introducing herself, and yet again dropped her keys. The best man at our wedding, Zach, pipped up and said “the mahogany!!” In reaction to that, Mari outstretched her arms, keys in hand, waited, and dropped them again on purpose. This would be typical. Later, trying to bribe Isaac she would bring candy with her when she would visit for a game night. It would take quite awhile before they would start perusing each other, but one day, Mari called Isaac to invite him and others to dinner and surprisingly the phone call lasted 2 hours. The next day, and the next day, and the day after that Isaac would continue to visit for dinner. Mari was done making dinner and decided they’d go out to eat one particular night. Then when it came time to pay Mari offered to pay in front of the waitress who then went on a ten minute tangent about how her “boyfriend” should be the one to pay. (They would never see her at that restaurant again). However, neither one of them would correct her. From then on after a wisdom tooth removal and lots of cuddling they would finally have a conversation about their relationship. From then on, a relationship so unique, beautiful, and perfectly fit for them both would begin.

Blake has been Mari’s pastor, boss, and long time close friend. Fun fact: when Isaac asked Mari about asking for her hand she told him to ask Blake for his blessing too!

Sam has been Mari’s go to for advice for a long time and wonderful friend for longer. Fun fact: Sam and Blake are married and their children are also in the wedding!
