Kristopher & I met at the most romantic place on earth... The Ocean County Jail! From the moment we laid eyes on each other, we knew we had something so incredibly special. A connection that made us sit on the phone for hours, talking about life, for months on end. We always laughed whole heartedly, like giddy high school teenagers. We brought out the most genuine versions of ourselves, and our love quickly started to blossom from there.

I jokingly recall the time Kris and I "unofficially met." I was a new officer at the jail, and Kris had been away from work for quite some time, due to an illness. I had always heard stories of the infamous "Brush" but I never knew what he looked like or who he really was. Until the moment I was stepping out of the locker room at work. A 6'1 slender man with breath taking hazel eyes, sized me up and down- from head to toe, and stopped and starred at my boobs! I thought, OH MY GOD! I feel so violated, what a (insert expletive here) weirdo! The fact that my name tag was also located on my uniform breast pocket was probably the reason why his eyes stopped there. Nonetheless, my first impression of Kris was that he was a CREEP.

It wasn't until months later when Kris and I worked together on the same shift, that I was finally able to call him out on his "creepiness." We laughed about it for hours, and Kris still denies to this day that he ever did that.

My first impression of Maria was that she was a very overzealous, overachiever with a "tight ass hair bun." The phrase, "What's going on here?" is a phrase that was coined by Maria for her attention to detail and wanting to control every aspect of life. Something I have grown to be fond of because that leaves me little room for error.

Life for the two of us continued to be nothing short of amazing! We took beautiful trips together, made amazing memories, and created endless cherished moments that will be engraved in our hearts forever.

Fast forward to December 2019, we welcomed our first beautiful daughter, Sophia Illianna, our Christmas baby!

She brought us immense joy and love and made us the happiest parents. The best feeling in the world!

In April 2021, just 15 months later, we welcomed our second daughter, Olivia Addison, our Easter baby!

Again, we were overjoyed with love and happiness with another amazing blessing in our lives!

It was at this moment, that Kris and I decided he was completely outnumbered by ALL the women in his life, and two beautiful little girls was more than plenty. Our family was finally complete!

Kris might say he has "three children" in his life. If there was ever a more perfect time for an eye roll emoji, it would be inserted here!

As all of you may know by now, Kris' sense of humor is next to none. He has the ability to brighten up every room he walks into with his beautiful laugh and smile. There will never be a dull moment when you are around Kris Brush. He is a man of integrity and has captured my heart and given me the world.

Together we are laughing away through life's ups and downs, until we are grey and old...
