Maria and I met in a very cliche way from my best friend Dave. He introduced us to each other by setting up a "blind date." We both did not know what to expect, so we decided to text the week leading up to the date. After talking with each other we both knew there was something special there. When we finally met, there was a spark like nothing we have ever felt before. Needless to say, we had an amazing first date.

We looked at each other differently, talked to each other differently, and communicated like we had known each other for years. It was a feeling we both had never felt before.

We could not stop smiling and laughing.

From there, everything just happened naturally, and we started falling in love. We went on a spontaneous vacation in Disney where I asked her to be my girlfriend.

We knew that we were meant for each other. The way we laughed, the way we looked at each other, and the way we wanted to build a future together just felt amazing. We traveled together with and without the kids, went to Eagles games together, watched the Phillies together, competed against each other in fantasy football, danced and sang on car rides together. Every moment we grew closer as a couple and as a family. I knew I had to start saving for a ring right away.

I finally got the perfect ring made and I knew I had to ask her at our favorite place on Earth, Disney. I could barely get the words out; more like she barely let me get them out. But, once I did it became the happiest day we could ever imagine.

Now, we get to keep falling in love with each other every day and cannot wait to say I do.
