General Q&A

What is your address?

Ansel's address is 1911 Holcombe Blvd, Apt 2012, Houston TX 77030. Maria's address is 1755 Wyndale St, Apt 621, Houston TX 77030. We will update this information if our addresses change, so please check back here before sending anything!

Where should I send gifts?

Please send all gifts to Ansel's address - we request that you ship all gifts rather than bringing them to the wedding, since we are getting married in Columbus but living in Houston. Your presence on our special day is the most valuable gift of all. If you do choose to honor us with a gift, we greatly appreciate your generosity and kindness! Please see the Registry tab for our wish list.

Where should I send mail?

You may send mail to either address.

Will it be hard to find free parking?

Nope! St Christopher Catholic Church has ample free parking behind and next to it. There are some signs that may be confusing that suggest you need to pay for parking, but you can ignore these as visitors of the church. There is a free parking garage next to the hotels and venue.

Where should I stay while I'm in town for the wedding?

There are two hotel room blocks available - please see the Travel tab for details. We recommend you book your room as soon as possible, because there is a large event going on nearby that weekend.

Will there be transportation to the ceremony/reception/hotels?

There will not be transportation provided to and from the ceremony, however the church is very close to the reception venue and hotels, about 1.5 miles away. We hope that our guests are able to carpool, use Lyft/Uber, or use a rental car. Since the hotels are right next to the venue, no transportation to the hotels is needed at the end of the night.

Is there anything I need to know about the ceremony at St Christopher Catholic Church?

Our wedding ceremony will be a Catholic Nuptial Mass. Even if you are unfamiliar with Catholic traditions, you are very welcome to attend and we are honored and overjoyed to have you present with us. Our wedding will include prayers, readings from scripture, songs, a homily, the exchange of vows, and the celebration of the Eucharist (communion). During Mass, the responses, songs, and prayers will be in your program so you can follow along. Receiving Catholic communion is a declaration of one’s personal belief in the true presence of Jesus Christ’s body, blood, soul, and divinity (not a symbolic presence). Practicing Catholics who are disposed to receive are invited to come forward and receive the Eucharist. If an individual does not believe these things, they would not want to declare that they do through the reception of Communion. Non-practicing Catholics and non-Catholics are all welcome to come forward and receive a blessing from the priest (place your arms across your chest when you arrive at the communion rail). You may also remain in your pew if you prefer to do so and pray for the couple.

Please check back closer to our wedding date for more answers to some commonly asked questions. In the meantime, check out the Travel tab for Q&A about the hotels.
