Roverto's story:

If you were to hear my story of how Maria and I met, it would be filled with instant attraction, hidden glances, and bold conversations. It would take 45 minutes, but this the short version.

It was our first meeting, and yes, she had totally fallen for me, and I didn't even know it. It all makes sense now: her being so nervous around me, avoiding me like the plague, probably out of fear that I would look into her eyes and see how deeply she felt. It also makes sense how she would stutter-step around me, off balance, like an out-of-body-experience every time I passed her way. I can't say who asked whom first to get coffee, but it was a success, and we agreed to another coffee date later that week. I thank the Lord for that first date, and I thank the Lord for Maria, I'm blessed in a thousand different ways because of her.

Thus began our story, as I remember it.

Maria's Story:

After a long healing journey, little did I know that soon I would find my true soul. Not only was the journey rough, with his ego so immensely huge, but it also revealed the humbleness of a person who was on his own journey. Many saw him, but those same people never saw his true soul-a soul waiting to be loved authentically. I continued to keep to myself and set my own boundaries as I had done before for years. The walls were thick and heavy. It was not until I discovered his side for nature, spirit, and oneness that I began to see him differently. He was a person with whom I could have many conversations and share the same perspectives. Our conversations continued until we found ourselves on our first date. That day, I knew I did not have butterflies in my stomach but instead an enormous amount of peace. At that moment, I knew I had found the one.
