Avista Resort
Avista Resort is close to Main Street North Myrtle Beach with easy walking access to bars, restaurants and delicious ice cream. Located on the beach they have 1-3 bedroom units. I encourage people to link up and share rooms to save money if you’re looking for savings that way.
Myrtle Beach Airport
Myrtle Beach Airport in SC is the closest to resort and venue.
Wilmington NC is another option but about an hour and 30 from resort.
For our New York guests:
Allegiant Air flies in and out of Newburgh and Albany directly to Myrtle Beach Airport. Our family uses this most often for our NY shuffle back and forth. They do not fly every day so be aware of schedule.
Spirit is another generally affordable option out of Newark or LaGuardia.
Breeze Airways now also flies out of Westchester airport
Alternative Accomodations
While we have blocked rooms at Avista you are welcome to find alternative accommodations through Airbnb, VRBO, or other methods. There are plentiful vacation home rentals if you prefer that option. We suggest you stay in the vicinity of North Myrtle Beach, Cherry Grove, or Little River for convenience to venue. We will afterparty in North Myrtle Beach and venue is 10 mins drive or Uber from that area as well.
What about transportation from the airport and to the venue ?
Transportation will be the responsibility of our guests. The resort is a 30 min drive from the airport and a 7 min drive from the resort to the venue.
If you are going to rent a car we highly recommend taking an Uber to the Enterprise off the airport grounds. It is a couple mins away and a significant savings generally.
Uber rides will vary in price but average $50-$60 between airport and resort and $11 each way between venue and resort.
Once everyone is situated at the resort people with rentals may be willing to ride share with others.
