Our Story begins December 2021 when a mutual friend says to both of us individually Hey, I think you will like my friend.


That Christmas, Calvin and Cassie Lawson invited us to a Holiday party. Most of Emory and Maria's discussions were focused on making fun of Calvin. The rest of the night was spent exchanging glances and waiting for the next opportunity to talk to each other. By the end of the night they had exchanged numbers.


OUR FIRST DATE: TEXAS
Maria had her eyes set on Emory. The next couple months she looked for every opportunity to meet with Emory. Their first date was at a Spanish restaurant in Texas, Emory seemed a little nervous considering he took a lap around the place looking for her when she said she arrived.


ENGAGED - ARIZONA
February 17th, 2024: Emory proposed to Maria in Phoenix Arizona while walking around in the Japanese Botanical Garden. Did Maria cry? Yes, an ugly cry. Emory will gladly send the video...


MARRIED- NORTH CAROLINA
May 5th, 2025: Emory and Maria knew the military would not make things easy so they decided to ring the bell. They went to the Fayetteville Jail house.. I mean court house and held a small ceremony with the Schmidt Family and Riley Lieber as their witnesses whom they texted the day prior..
