What is the dress code?

Black Tie Optional - men are encouraged to wear a dark suit or tuxedo with a tie or bow-tie, and women may choose a floor-length gown or midi gown. Don’t be afraid to lean into the New Years Eve festivities!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please try to arrive at Holy Family Church 10-15 minutes early to ensure you have time to find your seat.

Will there be a shuttle?

Yes! If you are staying at the Godfrey a shuttle will be available to transport you from the hotel to Holy Family around 2:20pm. It will return you to the Godfrey after the ceremony.

Where should I park for the ceremony?

Parking is located at the Congress Street Parking Garage (619 Chrysler Dr, Detroit, MI 48226) adjacent to the church.

Will there be a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Yes we will have a classic 2 hour catholic gap after the ceremony and before cocktail hour. You can always head back to the Godfrey hotel and grab a drink at lobby bar before cocktail hour starts at 6:30pm or you can go check out a bar in the area! We recommend the following: the Caucus Club, Ottava Via, Hamilton's (located inside the Godfrey), La Lanterna, Kamper's Rooftop Bar inside the Book Tower. Is parking available at the Godfrey?

Yes, valet parking is available at the Godfrey.

What are the wedding colors?

Black and white.

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely. There will be an assortment of wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks.

What time will the reception end?

1:00 AM! We will have plenty of caffeinated options available to keep you energized and awake for the new year celebration.
