We met when we were just kids, at Irving Elementary School where Maria was a new student. Nick had frosted tips and hairy legs, and Maria was absolutely sweet on him. Many hours of cadet duty, aim instant messenger, and open gym later, we were in whatever 12-year-olds considered to be love. Then we remembered we were 12 and obviously needed a fresh start before we entered the middle school world, and great friends we'd remain. We immediately match, watch about a hundred movies, eat a bunch of food, road trips, fall in love, Nick moves across the country, moves back, and here we are, about to spend a lifetime together.
