We met while both attending Chico State University in the spring semester of 2022.

Rome is from Modesto and Escondido while Maria’s hometown is in Folsom. Rome is an Agriculture major and Maria has completed her Bachelors in Public Health and now applying to nursing schools. We had similar friends and both lived at the university dorms. Rome at the time we met, was working at the University Organic Dairy Farm and began to take me to see the animals. My favorite has been the calves, but he has since then injured his back at the farm.

Our favorite thing to do together when we met was going to Dutch Bros because Rome had never tried Dutch Bros before coming to Chico as there was none in Southern California before 2022. Our favorite thing to do together now, is taking our dogs Bruno and Bea to the dog park.

Some of Rome’s favorite things: the color green, video games, animals, kayaking/camping, reading, and going to the movies.
Some of Maria’s favorite things: the color purple, spending money (Burlington, Ross, TJ Max, Target), getting coffee, my pajamas, being outdoors/kayaking, trying new foods, and going to the farmers market.
