When you know, you know.

It was spring of 2020, the world was shut down and sheltered in place. Tim, who would normally be traveling nonstop at this time of the basketball season, was stuck at home. Maria, who would typically not give anyone the time of day, was suddenly open to finding a partner. And that's when they met.

They had several long FaceTime talks before meeting in person. During one of those, Tim told Maria that she had everything that he was looking for in a woman. Maria replied by informing him that she was well aware of how she much she had to offer. The tone was set for their courtship.

After their first date — takeout food at Maria’s — Tim left quite certain that he wanted to pursue a relationship. Maria, on the other hand, wasn’t so sure about the man who showed up wearing sweats and a T-shirt. Fortunately, Tim was persistent and, of course, rather charming.

It didn’t take too long for Maria to come around. It helped that her boys, Lukah and Liam, quickly gave their stamp of approval and enjoyed having Tim around as a playmate. Tim’s girls, Baylee and Finlee, were impressed by Maria when they met her in her role as their dad’s realtor and were by the news that they were dating.

It soon became clear that Tim wouldn’t live in his new house for long. He fell madly in love with Maria and somehow convinced her to feel the same way. With the enthusiastic support of all the kids, he proposed to Maria on her birthday weekend in March, about 10 months after they met. The six of them were merging as the MacMahon Mob.

They can’t wait to begin living happily ever after.
