We met at Northwest Missouri State University while working in Residential Life at Dieterich Hall. Since then, we have moved to Council Bluffs where we both work for the Council Bluffs School District. Sam teaches art at Kirn Middle School and Mariah teaches 2nd grade at Hoover Elementary.

We rent a small house and have several pets including our dogs Rosco and Daisy, cats Bob and Pico and a ferret named Ramen Noodles.
