Ryan and Mariah met in the summer 2015 at Compass Tavern in Worcester. Mariah had seen Ryan with some of her mutual friends from college and decided to go over and start up a conversation with Ryan. They immediately hit it off and Mariah slickly put her number in Ryan’s phone. Ryan likes to say it was love at first sight and Mariah agrees. With Ryan leaving for the Coast Guard in three months the two weren’t sure where the relationship would go but they knew how much they loved each other and were willing to make it work. The first year was filled with letters, grainy face times and emails, then the following three years the two lived together on Cape Cod where Ryan was stationed. Now living in Worcester sharing a dog Millie the two continue to blossom and fall in love with each other more and more every day.
