Our Wedding

<p>Clayton and Mariah began their story as so many others do-in the friend zone. As they traversed through high school attempting to discover who they were, they instead discovered each other while participating in their speech and drama department. Finding that they both had similar humor, a love for never taking things seriously, and a knack for being overly involved in as many extracurriculars as possible, they quickly became best friends. They snapchatted frequently (because why text each other in this day and age) and were lumped together in plays and speech competitions, quickly becoming even closer. And then….Mariah graduated. While they stayed close, what they weren’t prepared for was to be set up on a secret double date to see Finding Dory in theaters only 2 months before Mariah was set to leave the state for college. While on that double date, they *gasp* held hands. And after a 3 hour conversation outside of Mariah’s house, they decided they’d try being a couple for just the summer until Mariah moved away. Now, here they are 10 years later to say that their little plan to break up once college began didn’t exactly work out. Together, they worked their way through college, grad school, moving to a new town, adding four cats to their life (RIP Clyde), and ultimately moving to a new state. And, in 2021, while Harry Styles sang the song “She” live in Chicago in front of them, Clayton asked Mariah to marry him. After being engaged for 4 years, Mariah and Clayton decided that eloping was the route they wanted to pursue. So, on June 22, 2026, they are set to be married at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by nature and a single photographer. After eloping, they plan to celebrate their marriage surrounded by loved ones and their honorary bridal parties at a lowkey get together in Lakeville, Minnesota.</p>

Emma and Mariah met during their first day of work at the same company and have been inseparable ever since. Both girls have been through job changes, career changes, graduate school, and big life changes together without ever once losing the other. Some may say they’re soul sisters. And by some, it’s only Mariah who says it. Alas, Mariah could not be more thrilled to have Emma has her honorary matron of honor.

Mariah and Katie met through work and instantly clicked. From their shared love of trinkets, matcha, and laughing at the stupidest jokes imaginable, their friendship could not be more pure and genuine. Mariah couldn’t be more excited to have Katie on her side as an honorary bridesmaid.

May Ling and Mariah became best friends in high school before briefly losing touch after going to separate colleges. On one random Friday night a few years later, Mariah, May Ling, Clayton, and May Ling’s husband, Isaac, all reunited over sushi and board games, rekindling the friendship. Since then, board games, sushi, and various snacks became the typical routine. May Ling has since gifted Mariah and Clayton their most recent addition to their household, a kitten named Bonnie. Mariah is so grateful to have regained this friendship and to have May Ling on her side as an honorary bridesmaid.

Even though Adriana and Mariah attended high school together, their friendship did not blossom until later in their 20’s. Once gaining their friendship, Adriana and Mariah had experienced many fun memories, such as celebrating several Halloweens, attending the Ren Faire, and playing online video games together. Mariah is so lucky to have Adriana by her side as an honorary bridesmaid.

Clayton’s brother, Jake, knows how to bring the party to life. Being born only a year apart, they’re built-in besties. No matter how far apart they live, it’s like no time has passed when these two come together.

Dylan was Clayton’s first friend when moving to Iowa. Since middle school, these two are rarely apart from each other, as they always find time to send each other memes or play video games late into the night.

Fred and Clayton were instant friends when they ran into each other while working at Wal-Mart. From talking about Warhammer, to playing DND, to completing all-nighters playing Magic the Gathering, these two are each other’s nerdy soulmate.

Tim and Clayton became good friends in high school and have always been supportive of each other, no matter how far apart they reside.

Mariah and Delaney first met at the start of Mariah’s career when Delaney was just 4 years old. They quickly bonded with one another and soon became permanent parts of each other’s lives. From riding around on the golf cart, to climbing through many playgrounds, to endless snuggles and tickles, Mariah is honored to have Delaney a part of her special bridal party.
